SUMMARY:
Our client in the Facilities Management sector has an opportunity available for a Field Support Specialist to be based in the Centurion area.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

N6 in Electrical Engineering/ Telecommunication/ Computer Science/ Computer Engineering or equivalent
Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering/ Computer Science / Computer Engineering or equivalent
Matric/Grade 12
Valid Code 08 EB Driver’s License (Advance driving Certification will be beneficial)
7 Years’ experience in Field Operations of Telecommunications networks.
Good management background in the telecommunication industry preferably in the Field Operations area
4x4 Advance Driving
HIRA (Fire & Fist aid)
WHO (Working on Heights) (Rescue)
ASP experience on Maintenance
Prism skills
IMS (Integrated Management System)
Microsoft - Word, Outlook

Duties:

Responsible for ‘management’ of state On-site Field Operation activities (passive and active) in the Network and to ensure that the managed organization understands and maintains the right focuses on scope of work and requirements to efficiently achieve set goals
Meet the daily/weekly/monthly Target per County as required by the roll out and scheduled plan
Responsible to schedule all the work within the area of control and ensure that work is completed with the right quality within the shortest time
Shall be aware of contractual SLA requirements
Will supervise subcontractor activities within the area of control and ensure that subcontractors deliver the committed level of service as per the contract
Will manage spares within area of control ensuring timely collection/return of replacement/faulty units
Attend the Daily Scrums and weekly Governance Meetings and raise issues emanating from the meetings to National Operations Manager
