South Africa’s leading diamond and longest standing jewelry and diamond business, is in search of a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and operational genius Finance Business Partner to come on board to perform a company-wide role.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The incumbent will take responsibility for stock, logistics, internal audit controls, facilities management, security, lease management as well as health and safety.

Job and Company Description:
My client is nearly a century strong, providing the highest quality diamonds and jewelry to clients the world over; from celebrities and crown jewels to every other conceivable purpose. They have been leaders in the industry for years and are growing from strength to strength. The Finance Business Partner must enjoy problem-solving and must be operationally strong with an entrepreneurial flair. Applicants must be a CA(SA) with at least 5 years post-articles experience. Compliance, risk management, implementation of processes and internal controls will be your daily bread.

As the Finance Business Partner you will be responsible for:

Ensuring risk management, governance, internal controls, and compliance to required standards
Ensuring compliance to legislative and corporate governance
Managing vendor relationships, order management as well as the procurement and logistics / delivery of materials for production
Ensuring stock levels are reviewed and assessed, variances accounted for and appropriate internal controls are implemented to manage stock risks
Assisting in negotiation and revision of leases
Overseeing the company’s properties, buildings and equipment to ensure that the workspace is safe and functional
Overseeing maintenance, security and catering management tasks that promote a clean, safe and healthy working environment for employees

Job Experience and Skills Required:

CA(SA) with minimum of 5 years post-article experience
IFRS 16
Experience in managing teams
