My client is looking for a skilled Finance Controller to take charge of management accounting for a prominent Zambian company – Head quartered in DRC. There is a possibility the role can either be filled in Zambia or the DRC. This is an amazing opportunity for expatriates, do not miss it!

Rotation: 9 weeks - 3 weeks

POSITION INFO:
Job Summary:
As the Finance Controller, you'll lead the preparation, analysis, and development of management accounting information.

Your responsibilities include:

Take ownership of the balance sheet, P&L and all technical accounting duties
Review any query raised by tax authorities
Ensure timely monthly Finance reporting
Set up Procedures with robust controls
Identify trends in financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement
Identify key risks within the group and prepare a risk profile matrix with proposed solutions to minimize exposure
Coordinate with other members of the Group finance team as well as work closely with the individual companies finance teams to review financial information and forecasts
Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance

Skills & Work Experience:

Experience working in Africa
Industry preference: Logistics, Hospitality or Mining
Audit experience in a Big 4 firm considered an advantage
5-10 years of relevant experience
Knowledge of SAP & SAGE ERP systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Fluent written and spoken English
Excellent presentation skills
Proficiency in financial software applications
