Senior Group Finance Opportunity – Head of Technical Accounting (CA(SA)

SUMMARY:
We’re partnering with a high-performing, fast-paced group to find an experienced and driven CA(SA) to lead their technical accounting and strategic finance functions. This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional who’s built their career with depth and commitment, and is now ready to step into a high-impact, leadership-level role.
If you’ve earned your stripes in a complex corporate finance environment and thrive in spaces where precision meets pace, this role offers the perfect mix of technical complexity, team leadership, and strategic influence.

POSITION INFO:

Oversight of technical accounting matters, including IFRS implementation, audit liaison, and group financial reporting
Full responsibility for share scheme accounting, reporting, and compliance
Active involvement in funding negotiations, covenant monitoring, and board-level reporting
Oversight of finance functions tied to merchandise imports, AP, and sundry debtors
Support and execution of strategic finance projects aligned to group growth and compliance
A seat at the table in the Group Accounting Forum, helping shape policy and process across all subsidiaries

What We’re Looking For:
CA(SA) with minimum 10+ years post-article experience
Strong tenure at Finance Manager level or higher within a listed, complex business (retail experience preferred)
Expert-level technical knowledge, with a track record in IFRS compliance, audit oversight, and financial controls
Highly organised, adaptable, and capable of operating at pace without compromising on precision
Natural problem-solver with strong analytical instincts and the gravitas to work across teams and influence decisions
