R75 000 - R85 000 per month, cost to company

For over 30 years our client has provided organisations all over South Africa with technical solutions and services to assist companies of all sizes in effectively running their businesses.  Lead by a strong, young executive team this organisation has a new requirement for a Financial Director to join their coastal division.

As the Financial Director you will oversee and drive all the financial, operational strategy and planning aspects of the organisation.  You will be responsible for managing and overseeing the business support function to enable the achievement of business plans and results which needs to be compliant with legal requirements, policy and procedure and ethical business practice.

The ideal candidate would a work orientated, assertive individual with a minimum of 5 - 8 years’ experience at a senior level in finance, be a qualified Chartered Accountant OR possess a Bcom with professional financial qualifications.

Managing the full finance function

Manage development of divisions budgets

Manage Annual Audit

Prepare and present financials at Board level

Develop financial models for expansion of business

Produce and distribute monthly management reports

Maintain control over all financial transactions, taking responsibility for maintaining the organization''s liquidity

Produce financial reports

Design financial models in support of ventures / expansion

Present financial models and advise on most suitable options

Manage cash flow and cash spend on projects

Manage valuation of new investment opportunities

Provide financial strategic guidance

Oversee the organization’s accounting and finance systems

Contract negotiations

Develop business plans

Build credibility, relationships, and maintain communication mechanisms with financial staff, senior organizational executives, and external stakeholders.

Manage team of staff involved with day-to-day financial tasks.

Group secretarial duties

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the business

Desired Experience, Qualification and Skills

Qualified CA, Bcom Accounting with Articles

Alternative Bcom with other professional finance qualifications

5 -8 years’ experience in Finance

Broad knowledge of accounting and business principles.

Fully computer literate with excellent proficiency in accounting software

Organized and professional individual with high attention to detail

Demonstrated ability to independently initiate, structure, and manage financial issues

Proven and successful management experience

Team player with experience in successfully building the skills and knowledge of others

Strong numerical, analytical and strategic thinking skills to drive the organization''s financial operations and improve financial performance/outcomes.
