They are really looking to build a dynamic and driven Finance team and seeking a professional to lead their Financial Operations and Shared Services functions. This pivotal role offers exposure across the entire business, with a focus on driving operational efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement of processes and systems. This individual will provide strong financial and operational leadership, ensuring robust financial controls and accurate reporting to support strategic decision-making. This is a critical role in aligning financial and business strategies to achieve long-term organizational goals and financial sustainability as well as has a healthy growth plan in line.

Responsibilities:

• Manage Team and cross business collaboration
• Manage forecasting and financial reporting
• Manage general ledger, ensure transactions are recorded and reconciled correctly
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of consolidated financial statements
• Oversee monthly accounting reporting process, ensure compliance with accounting standards
• Manage shared services team to standardize and automate processes
• Implement best practices for accounts payable, receivable, P2P and Fixed Assists
• Manage Fixed Asset Register
• Implement treasury policies to improve cash management
• Maintain banking relationships and negotiate suitable terms
• Review investment strategies and risk management

• Prepare annual statutory financial statements in compliance with accounting standards and regulations

• Coordinate external audit processes, ensure compliance and resolve audit queries

• Implement corrective actions based on audit findings and recommendations

• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and corporate governance standards

• Manage tax planning and optimization strategies

• Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors

Requirements:

• Qualification: CA(SA) with 4-7 years post articles experience
• Must have 3 years leadership experience, and experience in promoting cross functional collaboration
• Previous experience in managing general ledger, accounting processes, statutory financial statements, and fixed asset register
• Must have advanced financial skills and business acumen
• Advanced knowledge of financial reporting, tax regulations, treasury management, and corporate governance
• Able to deal with process, systems and routines as well as comfort with the unpredictable situations and challenges
