SUMMARY:

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities: Financial Leadership & Reporting: Lead and oversee the full finance function across the business. Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Ensure timely delivery of management accounts and executive reporting packs. Drive the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. Analyse financial performance and provide strategic recommendations to senior management. Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning and decision-making. Deliver meaningful financial insights to optimise profitability and business performance. Technical Accounting & Compliance: Ensure compliance with IFRS, regulatory requirements, and statutory obligations. Manage and oversee the implementation and application of IFRS 15 and IFRS 16 . Strengthen internal controls, governance frameworks, and risk management processes. Lead the annual external audit process and manage relationships with auditors. Oversee tax compliance, VAT submissions, and statutory reporting obligations. Operational Finance Management: Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury activities. Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions. Monitor key financial metrics and proactively identify opportunities for improvement. Drive process optimisation and operational efficiencies across the finance function. Partner with business leaders to support growth initiatives and strategic projects. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and excellence. Collaborate closely with operational and executive leadership teams to achieve organisational goals. Minimum Requirements: Qualifications: CA(SA) or CIMA qualification (essential) Postgraduate finance-related qualification advantageous. Experience: 8-10 years' experience in a senior financial management role. Proven track record managing a full finance function. Strong experience within a reporting-intensive environment. Practical experience applying IFRS 15 and IFRS 16 ( non-negotiable ). Extensive exposure to budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis. Experience managing audits and engaging with external stakeholders. Healthcare, medical, pharmaceutical, or related industry exposure will be highly advantageous. Technical & Professional Skills: Advanced financial reporting and analytical capabilities. Strong knowledge of IFRS and South African tax legislation. Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency. Experience working on ERP systems. Strong systems, controls, and process improvement expertise. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Commercial acumen with a strategic mindset.
