Finance Manager

SUMMARY:
An automotive retailer based just outside Harare’s CBD is seeking an experienced and detail-driven Finance Manager to join its leadership team. This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring compliance, optimizing performance, and supporting strategic decision-making across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Monitor financial performance and provide insights to support business strategy and decision-making.
• Maintain strong financial controls, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies.
• Manage and coordinate audits, tax submissions, and external reporting obligations.
• Develop and manage the annual budget in collaboration with senior leadership.
• Support operational departments with cost analysis, profitability tracking, and performance monitoring.
• Oversee payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement financial best practices.
• Manage and mentor the finance team, ensuring skills development and strong internal collaboration.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
• A professional accounting qualification (CA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent is preferred.
• 5–8 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 3 years in a management role, ideally within the automotive, retail, or related industry.
• Strong knowledge of Zimbabwean tax laws, accounting standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and financial reporting skills.
• Proficiency in SAP ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and integrity.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
