SUMMARY:
A prominent financial services institution is seeking a dynamic Financial Manager to lead the full financial accounting function within a complex, fastâpaced, and highly regulated insurance environment. This role is integral to ensuring financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and strategic financial leadership across the business.
As the Financial Manager, you will take ownership of endâtoâend financial reporting, governance, and team leadership while partnering closely with senior stakeholders to drive performance, strengthen financial controls, and enhance operational excellence.

POSITION INFO:

Own the preparation, accuracy, and delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and regulatory requirements
Oversee statutory submissions, ensuring timely and compliant reporting to all relevant regulatory bodies
Manage dayâtoâday cash flow, liquidity, and treasury activities
Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, including capital planning and financial modelling inputs
Coordinate external audits and uphold robust governance, risk, and internal control frameworks
Deliver meaningful financial insights and analytical reporting to senior leadership
Champion process optimisation and continuous improvements across financial systems and reporting structures
Lead, mentor, and develop a highâperforming finance team, ensuring alignment to strategic objectives
Build strong collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support sound business decisions

Skills & Experience:
A minimum of 3 years postâarticles experience, ideally gained within the financial services or insurance sector
At least 1 year of experience managing a finance team
Strong technical expertise in IFRS, statutory reporting, regulatory compliance, and financial governance
Advanced proficiency in Excel, SAGE, and Caseware
Demonstrated ability to analyse and interpret complex financial information
Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and professional judgment
Ability to navigate complexity, work under pressure, and deliver highâquality outputs
Strong leadership presence with a focus on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Qualification:
BCom Financial Accounting or equivalent CA(SA) undergraduate degree (Honours advantageous)
Completed SAICA articles (essential)
