POSITION INFO:
A well-established and purpose-led organisation in the education sector is looking for a dynamic and commercially minded Finance Manager to join its leadership team in Durban.
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified South African Institute of Chartered Accountants CA(SA) to take ownership of the finance function across a diverse group of entities. The role offers broad exposure, strategic involvement, and the chance to contribute to an organisation that is making a meaningful difference in communities across South Africa.
We are seeking a high-calibre finance professional with strong technical expertise, sound business acumen, and a hands-on leadership style. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, driving robust controls, and providing valuable insights to support executive decision-making.
This position is available immediately and is ideal for someone ready to step into a rewarding and impactful role.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the full finance function across multiple entities
Prepare monthly management accounts and executive reports
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
Ensure compliance with IFRS, taxation, and statutory requirements
Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors and advisors
Strengthen internal controls and financial governance

Job Experience and Skills Required:
CA(SA) qualification is essential
Minimum of 5 years’ post-article experience
Experience in group or multi-entity reporting is highly advantageous
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
