Finance Manager

SUMMARY:
Our client based in Johannesburg North is currently looking for a Financial Manager to join their Finance department.

POSITION INFO:

Responsibilities:

• Leads business planning and decision-making processes; ensures all required financial analysis, modelling of scenarios
• Leads long-term planning support activities
• Ensures timely production of monthly forecasts of sales trends in coordination with business analysts; supports SC
• Oversees monitoring of actual and forecasted cost and revenues (on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis).
• Tracks activity
• Coordinates and consolidates budget, LE forecasts and variance analysis
• Ensures there is no overdue receivables working with Customer Finance.
• Ensures efficient processes and procedures are in place to monitor contracts (insurance, leasing, rent, etc.)
• Leads FP&A projects locally and may participate in projects
• Provides decision support to various stakeholders (BU’s, project teams, functions).
• Analyses and prepares reports to support management.
• Ensures data integrity across platforms (Hyperion, Anaplan, Tableau, Budget/LE decks)
• Ensure implementation and adherence to corporate and local guidelines
• Coach and mentor Finance department staff
• Response to Audits/Controls from internal/external entities
• Regularly trains the organization on Internal Control Requirements and sets the tone to improve the control environment.
• Ensure Finance Review of Payments SOP and Shipping Guidelines SOP are followed.
• Manage the IICC (Internal control certification) process.
• Maintain Profitability Monitoring tool to calculate/track/change Transfer Prices and support the filing of TP reports to authorities.
• Manage external audits, and filing of all taxes (CIT, VAT and Custom)

Requirements:

• Degree in Economics or Business Administration
• Experience of more than 5 years’ work in a similar position in an international environment
• Experience in accounting, budgeting and planning
• Proficiency in English, both in written and verbal communication
• Excellent user of Office Programs as Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Studies specialized in finance (financial analysis, controlling, accounting, consolidating)
• MBA or an advanced Financial professional qualification
• Experience in various areas of finance and accounting.
• Experience in internal control and tax.
• Experience of 3 to 4 years in a Management position within an international finance department
• Industry knowledge within Pharmaceutical or FMCG would be desirable
• Know-how of applicable laws concerning business admin, taxes (CIT, VAT etc.), accounting and consolidation
• Basic knowledge of US GAAP
• Experience with SAP FI/CO
• Experience with BI systems (Power BI, Tableau etc.)
