Finance Manager

SUMMARY:
Our client, a non-profit organisation based in Pietermaritzburg, a leader in senior care in KwaZulu-Natal is seeking to employ a Qualified and Experienced Finance Manager.

POSITION INFO:

The financial manager is responsible for the financial health of the organisation. The finance manager must apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information, prepare financial reports and provide financial guidance and support to the organization.

Job Objectives:

• General accounting and administration
• Preparation for the annual audit
• Preparation for the annual budget
• Personnel management
• Preparation of reports and recommendations
• Risk analysis and mitigation

• A recognized bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 10 years’ experience in a similar role/environment in a management position.
• Ability to read, analyze and interrupt financial reports, business periodicals and 
• government regulations (SARS).
• Work with the management team to develop and implement the organisations budget
• Excellent knowledge of risk forecasting and mitigating.
• Support organisations funding proposals: assist with budgets, review proposals, provide 
• supporting documents.
• With other team members, ensure that services are delivered efficiently, effectively and 
• in a courteous and timely way.
• Ability to present information/reports at various meetings and respond to any queries 
• thereof.
• Must be proficient in Pastel (Software package) and preparation of financial reports to 
• balance sheet.
• Cash flow management.
• Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as payroll, 
• invoicing, and other transactions
• Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company
• Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation.
• Ability to work under pressure and communicate effectively with a diverse population.
• The highest level of integrity.
