Finance Manager

We’re looking for a hands‑on Financial Manager to help transition the finance function from outsourced to fully in‑house. You’ll be based in the Ballito office working closely with Group HR, Group Operations, and the Marketing Manager. If you’re ready to add strategic value while still staying close to the numbers, we’d love to meet you.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the transition from outsourced accounting partners to an efficient, fully in‑house finance function.
Oversee full financial management across the group, ensuring accuracy, accountability, and compliance
Provide operationally minded financial leadership—supporting decision‑making beyond numbers and dashboards
Analyse financial performance with a strong focus on profitability, ROI, cost control, and operational efficiency
Prepare and review financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and management accounts
Collaborate closely with Group HR, Group Ops, and Marketing to ensure integrated financial insights
Identify opportunities for improvements, efficiencies, and strategic value across the retail environment
Get actively involved in the details and “actuals”—not just high‑level analysis
Support retail operations with robust financial modelling and scenario planning
Maintain governance, financial controls, and risk management practices

Minimum Requirements:
CA(SA) qualification (essential)
5+ years’ post‑article experience in a Financial Manager role
Strong operational mindset—comfortable partnering with Ops, HR, and Marketing
Experience in retail, FMCG, or similar fast‑paced environments is advantageous
A hands‑on, commercially driven individual who thrives on improving profit, performance, and ROI
High proficiency in financial systems, reporting tools, and Excel
