Unique opportunity for a well experienced CA(SA) to join an established (and growing) Renewable Energy team as their Finance Manager.

This is a senior role! The most senior Financial role within the business, responsible for the full finance function, and working very closely with the GM on a daily basis. As such the role has both a strategic and operational blend, and requires someone commercially savvy.

The opportunity is Cape Town based.

The focus of the role, broadly, is the following:

• Manage the overall finance function for the team and its subsidiaries.
• Strategic guidance to shareholders and the GM.
• Review and monitor annual budgets & forecasts.
• Produce financial and corporate reports
• Monitor funding strategies
• Manage the treasury.
• Manage the closing, drawdown and waiver requests in accordance with the financial documentation for each of the subsidiary companies.
• Leadership of a finance team (small team currently, growth anticipated)
• Involvement in ERP implementation

This role is suited to :

• CA(SA) with 15 years in finance. At least 5 of these years in a senior / leadership financial role managing people.
• It is essential that potential applicants have led Finance teams of 10+ staff, ideally more.
• Exceptional EQ, people management skills, and a good communicator.
• Comfort working within a flat structure and collaborative culture that requires a strong leader. Comfortable working within an environment where people are encouraged to be inquisitive / ask questions.
