JOB SUMMARY:

Our client based in the beautiful Winelands, is looking for a Financial Manager to grow into the Financial Director position. JOB DESCRIPTION:

Preparation of the monthly management accounts pack

Review of the financial information processed by the accounting service team, to ensure accuracy and integrity

Review of monthly Balance Sheet reconciliation file for each entity,

Assisting with implementation of systems for monthly reporting

Analysis and identification of incurred costs versus budget and prior year,

Identify cost saving opportunities in order to improve the financial wellbeing

Review and approval of monthly VAT & EMP201 submission

Review and approval of 6 monthly Income Tax & EMP501 submission

Annual income tax calculation and submission to tax practitioner

Liaising with tax practitioners on a regular basis, to ensure tax compliance and obtaining Tax Clearance Certificates

Ability to formulate policies and procedures which comply with legislative requirements

Responsible for administrating insurance portfolio

Ensure effective management of all claims identified and submitted

Ensure effective utilisation of Banking platforms and services available

Check and verify all foreign payments

Check, verify and release electronic bank payments

Planning and oversight of monthly stock counts

Review and approval of final pay register

Upload of monthly RA contributions

Ensure the integrity and maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register

Ensure project management protocol is adhered to

Review Debtors Age analysis on a monthly basis and highlight issues

Lead and co-ordinate the annual budgeting process for the Group in order to set performance targets for performance monitoring and control throughout the financial year

Review the budgeted fees and expenses for large variances and resolve

Present the annual budgets to the Board of Directors for approval

Primary responsibility for the planning & coordination of the annual external audit

Review and sign-off of Audit files,

Coordination of Annual Financial Statements compilation

Manages own teams performance to ensure delivery of the approved finance strategy across designated departments

Skills & Experience:

Minimum 3 – 5 years’ experience as a Financial Manager

Team Management Experience

Communication at executive level

SA Tax experience

Up to date legislation and companies act knowledge

Qualification:

CA(SA)

CIMA – Fully completed
