My client is an industry leader in the pharmaceutical industry, looking for a Financial Market to join their dynamic team in Johannesburg West

JOB DESCRIPTION:

My client is an expanding business operating in greater parts of Africa including Botswana, Zimbabwe and Namibia. The business produces a variety of healthcare solutions to their clients ensuring sustainable and affordable healthcare for all. They pride themselves on their innovative strategies reducing healthcare costs for millions of people across Africa

The role reports to the Financial Director and the desirables of the role involve being responsible for budgeting, forecasting, external financial reporting, variance analyses, data modelling and analytics as required by the Executive management team. Oversee the completion of tax packs. Prepare annual and quarterly financial budgets and monthly tracking of variances to budget Lead the setting and managing of medium to long-term financial budgets considering strategic business priorities, constraints, and emerging economic trends.

Requirements

CA(SA)
3-5 years’ experience
Pharmaceutical industry experience (Advantageous)
Strong Tax Knowledge
IFRS

Skills

Ensure compliance to all financial legislative and regulatory requirements by implementing best practice and adherence to professional of internal policies and procedures
Manage the preparation and distribution of internal financial statements and monthly management
Manage monthly closing process, including reconciliations and analysis of related accounts
Monthly review of indirect cost allocation, cost recoveries and accruals / provisions
Reviews annual financial statements for the various entities and ensure that the annual financial statements are in terms of IFRS.
Lead and manage feasibility studies and cost reporting of all allocated projects including cost forecasting, anticipated final cost, cost of work done, gross billing and current contract value
Review, evaluate, adjust operational and financial reports to ensure accurate and relevant data is presented as required by the relevant Stakeholders
