Are you a qualified CA(SA) ready to step into a Finance Manager role within a leading player in the short-term insurance sector? This established short-term insurance provider has built a solid reputation for delivering tailored risk and underwriting solutions to both individual and commercial clients. Key Responsibilities
As Finance Manager, you’ll play a key role in overseeing the finance function and guiding a small team of accountants. Your responsibilities will include:

Reviewing monthly accounting processes and reconciliations
Compiling and analysing management reports
Managing cashflow, investments, and approving payments and collections
Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Ensuring all control accounts, balance sheets, and income statements are reconciled monthly
Preparing and submitting VAT, income tax, and statutory returns (FSCA, Prudential Authority, SARB, SARS, NAMFISA)
Compiling annual financial statements in line with IFRS
Liaising with auditors and resolving outstanding reconciliation items
Identifying and implementing process and internal control improvements
Supporting regional managers with accurate and timely financial information

Minimum Requirements

Qualified CA(SA)
2+ years’ post-articles experience, ideally within Financial Services or Short-Term Insurance
Strong MS Excel skills
Experience with accounting systems such as Great Plains, SAP, or Accpac (advantageous)
Excellent communication, analytical, and time management abilities
