SUMMARY:
Property developer on KZN's North Coast requires a Finance Manager to manage the finance function incorperating a team of 5 Accountants and reporting to the CFO.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

B Compt (Hons), Chartered accountant.
5 years + post articles
Relevant commercial experience (Preference in Real Estate Development)
Knowledge of IFRS reporting compliance
Knowlenge of Group Consolidations
Advanced Excel knowledge
Pastel, Caseware, Draftworx

Duties include:

Manage the finance team to produce all financial information in a timely manner.
Implement effective controls.
Ensure compliance with IFRS, Taxation rules, JSE rules, Companies Act and governance requirements.
Ensure business is run in accordance with approved budgets and delegation of authorities.
Work with divisional managers within the organisation
Monthly reporting to management and quarterly reporting to international head office.
Track the company's financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement.
Produce monthly cash flow forecasts to form the basis for the working capital request from holding company as well as for submission to the banks.
Provide insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision making.
Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company
Develop annual budgets in collaboration with the Vice President of Finance and Operations and functional heads
Ensure appropriate external audit arrangements are in place and manage the audit process on a quarterly basis
