POSITION INFO:
Job Description: The successful candidate will be responsible for managing direct and indirect tax matters, supporting international compliance requirements, and providing technical accounting guidance across the business. You will advise on the tax and accounting implications of business activities, structures, and transactions while supporting financial reporting, statutory compliance, audit processes, and strategic initiatives. The role requires a strong balance of technical excellence, commercial awareness, and the ability to engage confidently with both internal and external stakeholders. Skills & Experience: Manage local and international tax compliance obligations Provide technical guidance on taxation and cross-border transactions Analyse the financial and tax implications of new business initiatives Research and interpret legislation, regulations, and accounting standards Prepare and review annual financial statements and related disclosures Manage deferred tax calculations and technical accounting matters Advise on IFRS and complex accounting transactions Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and external advisors Support month-end and year-end reporting requirements Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning activities Identify opportunities to improve controls, reporting, and financial processes Support senior leadership with specialist financial and tax advice Minimum 5 years' post-articles experience Strong experience in both South African and international taxation Solid understanding of IFRS and technical accounting principles Experience with annual financial statements and audit processes Strong Excel and ERP systems experience Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and research skills Ability to communicate complex financial matters clearly to stakeholders Qualification: CA(SA) or Finance-related degree with a postgraduate tax qualification Connect with us on and Register your CV to create a profile and to view all our Financial recruitment vacancies.
