SUMMARY:
An opportunity has arisen in an FMCG concern for a self-driven and motivated Finance and Accounting Manager.

Required Experience:

3 – 5 years experience in tax
Experience in preparing various tax types
Detailed knowledge of dealing with SARS on tax related issues
Min. 3 years experience in reconciling accounts to statements
Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel,)
Able to work overtime when required, especially during month end

Competencies:

Analytical and good financial skills
Detail oriented and highly organized
Indepth knowledge of tax
Ability to resolve queries fast
Good Communication skills
Time management and ability to prioritise
MS office competent (advanced Level)
Self starter and proactive
High learning aptitude
High level attention to detail

Educational Requirements:

B Com Accounting/Financial Management
SAIPA/SAICA/CIMA Qualification will be an added advantage.

POSITION INFO:
Key Duties: Tax Management Assist in tax planning, provide tax advice, and reduce tax risk at both organizational and group level, covering VAT, PAYE, SDL, UIF, CIT, TP, customs, and Ad Valorem Support company secretarial functions for the holding entity and subsidiaries Contribute to the annual yearâend external audit process Assist with resolving findings from both external and internal audits Monitor and ensure taxârelated issues are addressed promptly to minimize organizational risk Statutory Returns Prepare and submit all statutory returns and maintain relevant statements of accounts Address and resolve queries related to statutory returns and reports Ensure closure of statutory annual accounts in line with statutory deadlines Systems Assist management in designing and implementing adequate systems of control Assess current systems for weaknesses and recommend improvements Reporting Assist with monthly closing and management of deadlines, targets and reporting
