Finance and Operations Manager

SUMMARY:
Exciting growth opportunity within a well established Finance Company for a customer focused and articulate individual.  Take ownership of all operational and financial aspects and streamline functions within the organization.  A financial qualification, preferably CA(SA) as well as 5 years FICA/ FAIS, taxation and compliance knowledge is essential.

Requirements

• Financial qualification essential – CA(SA) would be preferable
• Strong tax knowledge preferable;
• Passion for back-office administration essential;
• Articulate, well-spoken and attentive to detail;
• Customer focus absolutely essential;
• Well-presented and professional;
• Integrity and trust essential;
• Experienced, mature individual with minimum 5 years multi-divisional experience;
• Financial sector experience essential with strong knowledge of financial markets;
• Knowledge of compliance (FICA, FAIS);
• Knowledge of retirement products in relation to investments;
• Proficient in MS Word, Powerpoint, Outlook and Excel in particular and knowledge of or experience with CRM or BDA systems preferable

• Management of complete finance and operations functions and oversight of admin and office staff;
• Oversight and management of office functions, including but not limited to:-
•      Ownership of financial function including monthly                  payments, management accounts, liaising with                      bookkeeper and auditors;
•      Effective leadership of all office administration.
•      Ownership of the compliance function for the business;
•      Ownership of the monthly statement process to clients;
•      Management reporting, including preparation of Board        packs;
•      Ad-hoc client correspondence;
•      IT system knowledge and liaising with external IT                  providers;
•      Compliance – completion of FAIS examinations   essential;
•      Represent the office to clients, potential clients and third parties  
•      Ensure compliance with internal and external policies            across the business;
• Energise the administration function;
• Implementation, where appropriate, effective systems and procedures for efficient functioning of the office
