A leading global manufacturing company based in Johannesburg East is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to support the Financial Manager and ensure smooth financial operations across the board.

This pivotal role includes regular reporting to the head office in Italy, handling local and foreign transactions, and maintaining inventory accuracy.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate financial records up to balance sheet level
Oversee general ledger accounts and reconciliations
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
Prepare and reconcile bank accounts and payments
Process foreign exchange transactions and related reconciliations
Reconcile credit card statements and employee expense claims
Capture and process monthly journals and adjustments
Maintain and update the fixed asset register
Assist with month-end and year-end reporting, journals, and reconciliations
Monitor and control inventory systems and stock processes
Handle quotations, invoicing, order preparation, and distribution
Plan and execute periodic stock takes

Minimum Requirements:

Completed Matric (Grade 12)
Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance

Job Requirements and Skills:

15+ years of accounting experience is essential
Proficiency in Sage or Pastel Evolution preferred
Experience with foreign currency transactions
Strong skills in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
Highly organized, deadline-oriented, and thrives in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
Collaborative team player with strong communication skills
