Now hiring – Senior Accountant – Retail Industry – Client Engagement Role

Our client, a respected and well-known retail brand, is looking for a Technical Senior Accountant to join their finance team. This is an ideal opportunity for a skilled accounting professional who thrives in a high-energy environment and values building strong client relationships.

Scope: Responsible for financial performance across nearly 30 franchises

Key Responsibilities:

- Month-end financial reporting (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow)

- Taxation and statutory compliance

- Managing Accounts Payable and Receivable

- Supporting annual budget preparation and compiling board packs

- Finance team leadership and mentorship

- Acting as backup for the Finance Manager

- On-site visits for audit preparation and system implementations

What We’re Looking For:
A detail-oriented, proactive finance professional with strong technical skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Experience in the retail sector and working with multi-entity financials is highly advantageous.

Requirements:

• Completed BCom Accounting degree
• SAIPA, AGA(SA), or CIMA will be advantageous
• Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles
• 2 to 3 years’ post-articles experience in a senior accounting role
• Experience from the retail or FMCG sectors
• Advance Excel skills
