POSITION INFO:
Our client is a global leader in integrated logistics and supply chain management, connecting industries and markets across continents. Their Johannesburg operation plays a critical role in supporting trade, warehousing, and financial control across Africa and beyond.

As the Financial Accountant, you’ll take ownership of end-to-end accounting, ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and insight across a dynamic, multi-entity business. You’ll collaborate closely with finance leadership and operations teams, helping translate data into smarter decisions and more efficient performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full accounting function up to trial balance, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare monthly management reports, analysis, and variance commentary for leadership.
• Oversee reconciliations (bank, debtors, creditors, and intercompany) and resolve outstanding issues.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes.
• Review and post journals, accruals, and adjustments.
• Drive process improvements and ensure financial systems operate efficiently.
• Partner with operations to align financial insights with business performance and cost control.
• Ensure adherence to VAT, tax, and statutory compliance requirements.

• Qualification: BCom Accounting. CIMA (advantageous)
• Experience: 4–6 years in a financial accounting role within logistics or supply chain
• Systems: Advanced Excel proficiency; experience with ERP systems (SAP or similar).
• Attributes: Analytical, deadline-driven, and detail-focused, with strong commercial awareness.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communicator, adaptable problem-solver, and proactive collaborator.
