SUMMARY:
An established and forward-thinking organisation situated in the Cape Town CBD is seeking to appoint a Financial Accountant to join their dynamic and results-driven finance team. The successful candidate will possess a BCom, CIMA, AGA(SA) or an equivalent qualification, along with 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.

POSITION INFO:
This position provides an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and analytical professional to gain exposure to multi-entity reporting, revenue and sales accounting, and foreign currency transactions. It is ideally suited to an individual who performs well under pressure and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports across multiple entities.
Maintain general ledger processes and perform account reconciliations.
Manage FOREX transactions, sales, and revenue recognition activities.
Assist with budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Support external audit activities and ensure compliance with IFRS and internal accounting policies.
Identify and implement process improvement initiatives within the finance department.

Qualifications and Experience:

BCom Accounting, CIMA, AGA(SA), or an equivalent professional qualification.
2–3 years’ experience in a Financial Accountant or similar role.
Demonstrated experience managing multiple entities and working in a complex accounting environment.
Strong technical knowledge of FOREX, revenue, and sales accounting.
High attention to detail with excellent time management and organisational skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
