Financial Accountant

SUMMARY:
Financial Accountant needed in Pretoria East 
Salary: R33 000 - R38 000 (depending on experience) 

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

• Relevant Finance degree
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience
• Completed articleship training (signed off by an accredited training office)
• Registered with relevant body (SAIPA, SAICA, AGA)
• Tax practitioner registration will be an added advantage
• Overseeing financial operations with meticulous attention to detail, establishing, implementing and overseeing effective systems, processes and controls
• Providing relevant feedback and discipline as required
• Performing a range of financial duties such as maintaining general ledgers, reconciling bank accounts and bookkeeping up to trial balance
• Establishing, maintaining and balancing various accounts using computerised bookkeeping systems
• Executing all financial systems and procedures for cash books, petty cash, credit cards, debtors and creditors
• Data entry and database management, maintaining meticulous records, compiling, composing, and signing final annual financial statements
• Compiling of monthly management accounts
• Assisting with various audits (external and internal)
• Processing and reconciling monthly payroll, staff commissions, and statutory payments
• Assisting with tender applications
• Performing as a strong leader of a cohesive team with strict enforcement of statutory regulations, quality standards, governance processes and compliance requirements
• SARS Compliance (in respect of all tax types and types of entities including individuals)
• Liaising with other departments in respect of above
• PA related duties directly to the CEO
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Pastel Partner, SAGE 300 People, CaseWare working papers, Easyfile employer and Efilling
