SUMMARY:

We are hiring a Financial Accountant to join our team in Durban. Post graduate qualification in Finance required with 3-5 years of minimum management experience in accounting. Strong knowledge of tax legislations and financial management skills essential.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assisting with accounting, finance, and secretarial functions
Managing Accounts Payable function
Preparing monthly management accounts and Board packs
Assisting with financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
Preparation of tax computations and payment of company taxes
Maintaining fixed assets and property registers
Acting as a bank signatory
Preparing annual insurance declaration and managing insurance claims
Managing lease agreements and petty cash balances
Performing general ledger reconciliations

Qualifications and Experience:

Post graduate qualification in Finance
3-5 years management experience in accounting
Strong understanding of SA tax legislations
High level of computer literacy
Ability to prioritize, plan work, meet deadlines, and work under pressure

Skills:

Teamwork, integrity, confidentiality, financial modelling, accounting practices
