SUMMARY:
We are sourcing a Financial Accountant for a company in the FMCG/ Manufacturing industry. THe Accountant will take full ownership of financial reporting and compliance functions within their fast-paced, high-volume processing environment.

This is a pivotal role requiring precision, insight, and a hands-on approach to finance operations.

POSITION INFO:
Duties:

Full financial reporting up to trial balance, including month-end, year-end, and quarterly reviews
Processing general ledger journals with complete audit trail documentation
Submission of Flash Results (2nd working day) and Pack Reporting (4th working day)
Monthly balance sheet reconciliations and detailed variance analysis
Maintenance and annual verification of the fixed asset register
Preparation and coordination of budgets and forecasts across branches
Capex management with audit-compliant documentation control
Commission and provision calculations
Liaising with internal and external auditors, as well as departmental managers, regarding accruals and financial queries
Verification of payment releases and creditor reconciliations
Execution of day-end and month-end processes in Syspro (AR, AP, Inventory, Cashbook, GL)
Intercompany account management and resolution
Implementation and enforcement of financial standard operating procedures
Participation in ad hoc financial projects as required

Requirements:

B. Com in Accounting
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar financial accounting role
FMCG industry experience will be highly advantageous
Strong systems proficiency, including Syspro, QlikView, and MS Office (MS Excel specifically)
