Company and Job Description

Join a leading engineering organisation with a strong footprint in Gauteng, recognised for delivering complex infrastructure and technical projects across various industries. The finance team plays a vital role in supporting project performance, financial reporting, and strategic business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the general ledger, journals, and reconciliations
Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reports
Drive month-end and year-end close processes
Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
Support project cost tracking and financial performance reporting
Maintain and manage the fixed asset register
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal financial controls
Support audit processes and liaise with external auditors
Provide financial insights and reporting to operational stakeholders

Job Experience and Skills Required

Education:

BCom Accounting.

Experience:

3–5 years’ experience as a Financial Accountant or in a similar role
Experience within engineering, construction, manufacturing, or project-based environments is highly advantageous

Technical Skills:

Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
ERP system experience advantageous
