Reporting directly to the Financial Manager, this role sits at the heart of the finance function, supporting cross-border operations, multi-currency reporting, and complex reconciliations. Key Responsibilities:

Performing the full accounting and bookkeeping function
Preparing monthly journals, including accruals, provisions, depreciation, and prepayments
Completing balance sheet and income statement reconciliations across multiple entities
Managing intercompany loan accounts and reconciliations
Preparing multi-currency reports and consolidating into group currency
Maintaining the fixed asset register across branches
Managing VAT, withholding tax, and cross-border tax compliance
Reconciling VAT accounts to revenue authority statements
Reviewing GL transactions daily and resolving discrepancies
Supporting audit processes and ensuring compliance

Job Experience and Skills Required

Diploma or Degree in Accounting / Finance (NQF 6/7)
3–5 years’ experience in a similar accounting role
Strong experience in reconciliations and high-volume environments
Exposure to imports, exports, and foreign currency reporting
Experience within FMCG or similar fast-paced industries advantageous
Proficiency in Syspro 8 and advanced Excel
Strong understanding of fixed asset management
High attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
