POSITION INFO:
Our client is a dynamic organisation operating within the logistics sector, offering a fastâpaced environment where financial accuracy and operational support are critical.

The Financial Accountant will play a key role in the finance function, supporting dayâtoâday accounting activities, monthâend processes, and statutory compliance.

This role is ideal for a technically-sound Accountant who has completed articles and is looking to build solid commercial experience within a logistics environment, while working closely with senior stakeholders and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts and reconciliations
Support the monthâend and yearâend close processes
Assist with the preparation of management accounts and financial reports
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and resolve variances
Support audit processes and respond to audit queries
Assist with VAT submissions and statutory requirements
Work closely with operations to support accurate financial reporting

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Education:
- BCom Degree in Accounting (essential)
- Completed SAICA / SAIPA articles (required)
Experience:
- 3–5 years’ experience in a Financial Accountant or similar role
- Experience within the logistics, transport, or supply chain sector (advantageous)
Skills & Competencies:
- Solid understanding of accounting principles
- Strong reconciliation and analytical skills
- Good Excel capability and experience working with accounting systems
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fastâpaced environment
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage across the business
