A well-established organisation within the construction sector is looking to appoint a Financial Accountant to join their finance team based in Centurion. This opportunity offers exposure to a dynamic operational environment where accuracy, strong reporting skills, and financial discipline are highly valued.

This role is ideally suited to a BCom-qualified professional with completed articles preferred, who enjoys working across the full accounting cycle and thrives in a deadline-driven environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity, supporting reporting processes, and ensuring accurate month-end and year-end procedures.

The appointed individual will work closely with the finance team to ensure smooth financial operations while contributing to process improvement and strong financial controls.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage general ledger reconciliations and account maintenance
Perform monthly reconciliations and balance sheet reviews
Support month-end and year-end reporting processes
Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports
Ensure accurate financial record-keeping and compliance
Assist with audit preparation and supporting documentation
Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and controls
Support the finance department with ad hoc accounting functions

Job Experience & Qualifications:

BCom Degree (minimum requirement)
Articles advantageous
Experience within a finance/accounting environment
Strong general ledger and reconciliation experience
Exposure to month-end and year-end processes
Strong attention to detail and analytical ability
Ability to work within a fast-paced environment
Construction industry exposure advantageous
