POSITION INFO:
A well-established company within the manufacturing and industrial sector is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join their finance team in Kempton Park. This opportunity is ideal for a candidate who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has strong experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, compliance, and ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate financial records in line with IFRS and company policies
Perform general ledger reconciliations and ensure data accuracy
Monitor and reconcile bank accounts daily
Assist with external audit preparation and audit packs
Prepare and submit VAT calculations and related documentation
Review weekly payments and load payments onto banking platforms
Maintain ERP system integrity and support finance operations
Oversee accounts payable processes and supplier payments
Assist with month-end reporting, journals, and financial statements
Support budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting activities
Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and SHEQ requirements

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CA(SA) qualification advantageous
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a finance environment
Experience with foreign currency transactions
Strong general ledger and trial balance experience
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Experience working on SAGE / Pastel Evolution
Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards
Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
