SUMMARY:
A dynamic company within the retail sector is seeking a talented finance professional to join its team. This role is focused on ensuring the accurate recording, reporting, and analysis of financial transactions to support informed business decisions. The successful candidate will play a key part in maintaining financial integrity while ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. POSITION INFO:
Manage payment processes to ensure suppliers are paid accurately and on time in line with agreed terms Execute regular payment runs and maintain control over outgoing transactions Oversee credit card funding and ensure balances are maintained appropriately Support ongoing cash flow monitoring to maintain financial stability Maintain and update cashbooks on a consistent basis with accurate entries Allocate and process financial transactions, ensuring correct coding and posting Reconcile online sales with bank receipts to ensure completeness and accuracy Process customer refunds efficiently, ensuring compliance with timelines and policies Work closely with stores to resolve any refund-related discrepancies or queries Prepare and deliver weekly reports on damages, expiries, and price changes Support month-end close by preparing and posting accruals Process and reconcile fleet-related expenses in line with financial policies Manage reconciliation of specific transactions, including loyalty and loan accounts Contribute to finance-related projects and continuous improvement initiatives Provide support for audits and assist the wider finance team with ad-hoc tasks as needed Skills & Experience: Minimum 2-4 years' experience within a financial accounting environment Solid understanding of core accounting principles and practices Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Clear and professional communication skills Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively Flexible and adaptable in response to changing business needs Results-driven with a strong focus on meeting deadlines Qualification: Diploma or Degree in Financial Accounting or a related field For more information connect with us on and Register your CV to create a profile and to view all our Financial recruitment vacancies.
