A leading and well-established South African organisation is seeking a highly driven, commercially astute, and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join its growing Finance team. What You'll Be Doing Owning the month-end and year-end reporting process. Preparing management accounts and financial statements. Managing reconciliations, journals, accruals, and the general ledger. Overseeing VAT, tax compliance, and fixed assets. Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. Delivering financial insights, analysis, and performance reporting. Supporting internal and external audit requirements. Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Driving process improvements and strengthening financial controls. Partnering with operational teams to support informed business decisions. Maintaining the highest level of accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality. What We're Looking For The successful candidate will possess strong technical accounting expertise combined with excellent business acumen and a hands-on approach. Key Skills & Competencies: Strong financial accounting and reporting experience. Advanced reconciliation and financial analysis skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Strong understanding of IFRS and financial compliance requirements. Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities. Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines. Strong organisational and time-management skills. Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. A proactive mindset with a continuous improvement approach. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related qualification. Completed SAICA Articles highly advantageous. 3 - 5 years' experience in a Financial Accountant role. Proven experience preparing financial statements and management reports. Strong knowledge of South African taxation legislation and accounting standards. Experience working with ERP systems and integrated financial platforms. Why Apply?
