Financial Accountant

SUMMARY:
Poultry Feed Manufacturing concern, based in Polokwane, has an exciting opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join their team.  Successful incumbent will report to the Financial Manager and be responsible for a wide variety of accounting and operational duties and manage the Admin Department.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities ✔ Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts, budgets, VAT returns and journals. ✔ Maintain financial records using Pastel Accounting . ✔ Manage customer, inventory, pricing and transport tariff setup within accounting and management systems. ✔ Assist with product costing and margin analysis. ✔ Oversee debtors and creditors, reviewing reconciliations and invoices. ✔ Analyse inventory variances including raw materials, finished goods, packaging and diesel. ✔ Compare actual expenditure against budgets and report on variances. ✔ Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with statutory requirements. ✔ Manage fixed assets, insurance administration and vehicle licensing. ✔ Prepare regular financial and operational reports for management. ✔ Maintain strong financial controls and perform monthly housekeeping activities. What We're Looking For ✅ BCom Degree in Financial Accounting. ✅ Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar accounting role. ✅ Manufacturing industry experience is highly advantageous. ✅ Proficient in Pastel Accounting . ✅ Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. ✅ Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities. ✅ Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. ✅ High levels of integrity, accuracy and attention to detail. ✅ Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
