SUMMARY:
Financial Accountant responsible for handling the financial activities within the company.

POSITION INFO:

Duties

Preparation of and review of journal entries
Preparation and submission of monthly reports
Review local supplier reconciliations and ensure that reconciling items are appropriately addressed
Calculation and analysis of quarterly/ bi-annual royalties payable to licensors
Assist with budget and forecast preparation
Assist with monthly provisions
Reconcile customs VAT to supporting documentation monthly
Make recommendations for improvements to processes and controls
Assist in assessments and application of new accounting standards
Assist with SARS queries (ad-hoc)
Assist with ad-hoc finance department projects
Coach junior associates

Minimum Requirements

BCom Accounting Degree
Experienced in working with JDE accounting packages & MS Advanced excel (advantage)
Minimum 1 year financial accounting experience
