Financial Accountant

SUMMARY:
Our client, a well-established international chemical manufacturing company in Kempton Park, is looking for a Financial Accountant to be 2IC in the finance department.

POSITION INFO:

The successful candidate to join this wonderful team will have SAICA articles (not negotiable) and will come from a manufacturing background, with international exposure.

Main responsibilities:

Responsible for the overall controlling and accounting

Responsible for the month end closing reconciliation

Monitor, control and report on cash flow in compliance with Corporate Treasury function

Submission of the VAT, Sales and other statistical reports

Coordination for the statutory accounts for the fiscal year end and tax return

Contact person for the auditors, tax auditors, insurers, banks

Ensure compliance with all Company Group reporting processes, procedures and timescales

Seek out methods and practices to minimise financial risk, updating and implementing financial policies and procedures as required

Provide insightful monthly and ad-hoc reports to both operational and senior management including the parent company in Europe

Monitor stock and debtor balances to ensure any issues are highlighted and actioned

Coordinator of the budget process with the headquarter and assisting the local management

Provide financial input to various operational decisions including pricing strategies and tenders

Implement and manage strict budgetary control across all cost centres

Minimum requirements

B. Com/B. Compt degree, with Honours being advantageous

SAICA Articles completed – NOT NEGOTIABLE

A minimum of 5 years’ commercial experience, preferably within an international manufacturing environment

Supervisory experience

Salary is R----- CTC per annum negotiable on experience, with great benefits.
