SUMMARY:
Financial Accountant- Mobeni

POSITION INFO:
A Financial Accountant position has become available with an established retail business located in Mobeni, Durban.

Key Responsibilities:

Review of Cashbooks for the Group
Preparation of weekly Cashflows
Preparation/Review of journals
Preparation/Review of balance sheet recons
Compilation of Monthly Management accounts
Preparation of audit packs for external auditors
Assisting in preparation/review of AFS
Preparation of annual budgets
Preparation of tax computations and review of tax returns
Reviewing and updating of systems description and SOP’s
Reviewing of processes and making changes where necessary to improve efficiency
Review of system generated transactions and reports

Key Requirements

BCom Accounting Degree
Completed Articles at a Medium sized firm
Minimum 3 years post articles experience in a similar role
Hands on experience and knowledge of accounting software packages
Strong MS Office skills
Ability to work under pressure and according to tight deadlines
Excellent reconciling skills
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
