Financial Accountant

SUMMARY:
Multi-National Manufacturing / Distribution concern, has a new vacancy for a Financial Accountant to join their team. Manage, oversee and expedite the company's compliance with SOX, as well as be responsible for the company's tax function and statutory preparation of the AFS. Manage the AP function, prepare, analyse and report on monthly financial information and forecasting and budgeting.

POSITION INFO:

Completed B.Com / B.Compt, coupled with a minimum of 3-5 years related Accounting experience essential within a FMCG / US-Multi-National Manufacturing / Distribution company.  KPI''s include: 

Month-end preparation - Royalties: Calculate royalties on a monthly basis Prepare royalties journal for processing Reconcile royalties balance per working paper to Syspro Send Royalties calculations to US by business day 2 Checking payments to vendors and approvals; ntercompany payables: Reconcile intercompany payables and receivable balances Intercompany confirmation statements monthly Fixed Assets: Maintain Fixed Assets Register (Book and Tax) – Additions, Disposals and Depreciation (excel) Walkdown Analysis Analysis of Top 10 brands based on sales actual vs budget and to prior year Customer Profitability reporting; Financial Reporting One in Beauty (ONB)/ Hyperion Financial Management and Essbase Extract information from the monthly Master Reporting Templates into the ONB loader template Load into ONB database by business day 3 Complete the roll forwards and supplemental data forms based on the YTD movements from Syspro Reconcile the roll forwards and supplemental data forms to ONB load; Reconcile ONB load to Syspro for accuracy and validation prior to finalizing and send to Geneva Reconcile ONB, MR and MR Forecast for consistency and accuracy between the three systems Promote to level 4 when finalized, by business day 6 Upload all completed data forms onto SharePoint database Send audit and non-audit fees to US on a monthly basis Forecasting and Budgeting Prepare forecasting templates for loading of the income statement and balance sheet Submission of the forecasted and budgets onto ONB monthly, quarterly and annually; Commercial support (Ad-hoc) Perform ad-hoc exercises per request from Finance Manager, such as analysing sales and finance data to use for sales or commercial support Gross to Net Analysis Top ten customers, e-com, retailer allowances Manages trial balance, suspense accounts and reconciliations 4. Statutory Annual Financial Statements Preparation of the Statutory Annual Financial Statements Audit liaison of the Statutory Annual Financial Statements 5. Taxation Completion of all tax returns (Monthly VAT returns, quarterly Advalorem returns, provisional tax, STC etc.) Performing the VAT reasonability test on a frequent basis Preparation of the annual tax pack and completion of the IT14 returns.  Solid Syspro and Excel experience essential.  Position will ideally suit a male.
