Financial Accountant

SUMMARY:

• Our client in service provider/IT Sector based in Sandton area is looking for an experienced Financial Accountant with (multiple trial balances) including reporting and all other financial functions experience start immediately or be available soonest

POSITION INFO:
QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE:  

·         5-7 years relevant Financial Accounting experience
          within shared services/intercompany environment
·         BCom Acc or similar qualification essential
·         Experience with working with multiple ERP systems
·         Syspro experience 
·         Finnivo experience beneficial
·         Excellent excel, word and written communication skills

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

• Significant experience in capturing: Debtors cashbook/payments/fixed assets all the way up to trial balance. So processing capabilities is strong
• Has experience with managing multiple trial balances
• Experience in foreign currency transactions
• Used to fast pace environment and works well under pressure
• Adaptable to change
• Syspro experience
• Sage X3 experience will be beneficial as they are moving onto that ERP solution in the near future.
• High excel proficiency
• Detailed oriented
• Self motivator
• Issue invoices to relevant clients for payment, issue monthly  statements
• Verify discrepancies and resolve billing issues.
• Forex payment administration
• Ensure accurate allocation of revenue & costs based on project accounting principles, making corrective changes where necessary
• Administration and reconciliation of company paycards, fleet cards and credit cards.
• Capturing daily bank balances 
• Maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger.
• Ensure that the sub ledgers reconcile to the general ledger
• Preparation and processing of month end journals
• Preparing intercompany charges and sending out to businesses.
• Reconciliation, confirmation and reporting of inter-group accounts and balances
• Running of month-end procedures on Syspro
• Preparation, completion and submission of VAT returns and monthly VAT reconciliations
• Assist with SARS queries
• Process monthly payroll journals, leave provision, bonus provision·         
• Reconcile the payroll register to the payroll input report      Monthly payroll reconciliation
• Compilation of monthly flash reports
• Completion of bi-monthly cash flow forecasting
• Manage Capex/Opex requests from the business
• Assisting with forecasting, budgeting responsibility and reporting actuals
• Assist in preparation of annual budgets, including importing into Syspro and Finnivo
• Assists in preparation of stats and other operational reports including BBEEE reports
• Preparation of management accounts and monthly reporting 
• Assists with internal auditors, including implementing necessary changes
• Assists with the external audit
• Assists with the BBBEE audit
• Assists the Group FM when and where necessary
• Various ad-hoc tasks from time to time.
