A large conglomerate is looking for a CA(SA) to join their finance team as a Financial Accountant. The role reports into a Financial Manager and will serve as a second in charge to the Financial Manager.

A large conglomerate is looking for a CA(SA) to join their finance team as a Financial Accountant. The role reports into a Financial Manager and will serve as a second in charge to the Financial Manager.

JOB & COMPANY DESCRIPTION

The Financial Accountant will be responsible for accounts receivable, bank, cash, and accounts payable teams in the business center to ensure accuracy and validity of the General Ledger. The Financial Accountant will be the custodian of all processes relating to the trial balance and supporting the Financial Manager on management and financial reporting including tax submissions, annual financial statements, and audit related requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for working capital management, budgets and forecasts, weekly cash flow and compliance.  

EDUCATION

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:

• CA(SA)
• Articles completed at a Big 4 audit firm is preferred

JOB EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

• At least 1-2 years’ post article experience in a similar role
• Experience working in a multinational organization is preferred
• Working and sound knowledge of IFRS
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work cross functional with executive, managers, and other staff in a respectful manner
• Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast paced and changing environment
• Pro-active and quality focused
• Knowledge of JD Edwards OneWorld and Cognos would be advantageous
