POSITION INFO:

Investment team seeks a finance professional to join their team in a Financial Accountant role. You''ll be part of a smart and dynamic finance team who have high standards and ensure they offer the business accurate financial reporting. Responsibilities

• Reconciliation of GL to management accounts
• Providing accurate management accounting reports
• Month end and year end reporting
• Monthly reporting to CEO
• SARS reporting
• Ensure accuracy of accounting entries to GL
• Review the corporate credit card allocations
• Daily banking and cash management
• Oversee external audit annually
• Quarterly board reporting
• Bank reconciliations, journal processing, fixed asset register maintenance
• Group reconciliation / reporting on inter-company balances
• Continuous ad hoc process or systems improvements as required

Requirements

• Minimum of CA(SA) or CIMA qualified with 2 - 4 years post qualifying experience within financial services, with a preference to collective investments, LISP or investment management experience
• Must have previous accounting systems exposure with advanced MSExcel and aptitude for systems
• Must have excellent planning and time management skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced and high-performance environment
• Highly numerate, high attention to detail and proactive approach
• Analytical thinker with the ability to problem solve and take ownership
• Excellent communicator, who is able to work well with varied stakeholders
• Good team player who is very organised
