JOB SUMMARY:
JSE-listed company in the northern suburbs, is seeking a Financial Accountant who will be responsible for the administrative, financial and risk management operations of their head office. You will report directly into the Group Reporting Financial Manager. You will also work from home twice a week.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Perform financial accounting services for head office entities including the preparation of monthly financial reports, quarterly re-forecasts, annual financial statements and annual budgets.

Monthly management accounts regarding key variances against budget/reforecasts

Process and submit monthly VAT returns, prepare monthly income tax calculations and any other statutory returns within given timeframes

Process monthly staff payroll within given timeframes

Manage head office entities general ledger; debtors and creditors function (processing invoicing and payments)

Prepare monthly bank, debtors, creditors and balance sheet reconciliations including maintenance of the fixed asset register for the head office

Compilation of Annual Financial Statements (AFS) for head office entities

Qualification:

Bachelor of Commerce Degree non-negotiable

Articles highly advantageous
