JOB SUMMARY:
We are currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant for a young dynamic client based in Cape Town. This role is responsible for accounting for all gaming transactions, reconciliations and reporting for the client gaming operations and related entities.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities:

Check to ensure that all gaming data is posted correctly by product, region, game/event, brand and
platform.
Reconcile gaming data to 3rd party source(s) (report from gaming server).
Match and Reconcile all Balance sheet accounts.
Investigate anomalies and proactively resolve any queries in a timely manner.
Preparation of month end files and reconciliations.
Gaming tax and Gaming VAT calculations per region.
Calculation of usage fees and rebates and raising of invoices.
Posting of all accruals and prepayments.
Posting of intercompany and intergroup billing.
Posting of regional and brand splits.
Posting of all depreciation and amortisation.
Monthly FX runs to revalue foreign currency balances in the balance sheet.
Preparation of month end statutory, brand and regional income statements and balance sheets with
relevant commentary.
Trial Balance Management.
Run weekly and monthly Open item reports and follow up on long outstanding items.
Preparation of quarterly, half yearly and annual financial audit files and assistance with audit queries.
Preparation of schedules required for Operational and Regulatory audits.
Assist in the drafting of process notes and internal control procedures to ensure business continuity.
Effectively work as a team with relevant client treasury accountant, reconciliation specialist, Statutory team, as well as other Financial Accountants.
Effectively communicate to manager and team members to ensure key deliverables are met on time and potential problems escalated.
Communicates clearly and effectively at all levels, both internally and externally.
Effectively feeds information to required members of the team to ensure all important updates are shared appropriately.
Manages other’s expectations appropriately and proactively communicates any potential problems.
Ad hoc duties as may be required from time to time

Essential Requirements:

B.Com finance degree or similar
3 - 5 years accounting experience
Demonstrate consistent behavior aligned to the organizational culture
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
