JOB SUMMARY:

A well-established investment company is seeking a Financial Accountant to complement the finance and reporting function of the group. This role is based in the east of Cape Town's central business district.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Managing the full finance function, including income statement, balance sheet
Review and posting of journal entries
Monthly balance sheet reconciliation
Managing the full month-end procedure function and timely closure of accounts within deadlines
Managing accounts payable
Managing accounts receivable
Managing the fixed asset register
Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets
Assisting with the preparation of quarterly forecasting
Analysis and insights into variances to prior year, budget and forecasts
Preparation and submission of VAT returns
Assisting in management of the annual audit
Adhering to strict reporting deadlines
Adhoc Projects
