JOB SUMMARY:
A well established Chemical Manufacturing company is looking for a Financial Accountant to join their ever-growing ranks. My client is looking for an immediate available CA(SA) with experience in managing employee trusts and the ability to implement new reporting systems.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

My client specializes in the manufacturing and selling of base chemicals, servicing mining, FMCG, plastics, pulp, paper, general trade, potable and effluent water treatment as well as chemical industries. They want a Financial Accountant who is willing to jump in and hit the ground running without much handover time; in order to do this, the candidate must already be versed on employee trusts, tax submissions and returns. This particular role will also require the candidate to model reporting systems to gauge the impact it has on the business and, where necessary, implement new reporting principles.

As the Financial Accountant you will be responsible for:

Gather and monitor financial data (e.g. sales revenues and liabilities)
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual statements (balance sheets and income statements)
Forecast costs and revenues
Manage tax payments
Organize internal audits
Prepare budgets (for the entire company and by department)
Monitor and report on accounting discrepancies
Conduct detailed risk analyses to assess potential investments
Analyze financial trends
Perform month-end and year-end close processes

Job Experience and Skills Required:

CA(SA)
Excel Advanced non-negotiable
Manufacturing / Retail / FMCG experience advantageous
SAP advantageous
