JOB DESCRIPTION:

Role: Financial Accountant

Responsibilities:

Preparation of annual financial statements using Caseware.
Resolve audit queries
Daily, weekly and monthly processing of accounting entries
Compiling monthly financial reports
Completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Assisting with annual budgeting process and monthly forecasting
Prepare, examine or analyse accounting records/financial statements
Management of general ledger, cask book, creditors and debtors using prescribed accounting package
Review loan schedules including interest calculations and balance confirmations
Responsible for inter- group confirmations
Computation of normal tax and completion of monthly VAT reconciliation
Implement and maintain internal controls
Full debtors and creditors reporting
Managing four direct reports

Education and experience requirements

Recognised tertiary qualification
Completed articles an advantage or similar professional qualification

Skills and competency requirements:

Experience in all Microsoft Office applications
Analytical and problem - solving skills
Numerical acuteness
Report writing skills
High level of accuracy and detail oriented
Results driven in order to meet set deadlines
Have sound interpersonal and organisational skills and must be a team player
Must be able to work independently in a fast-moving environment
