POSITION INFO:

Responsible for full Trial Balance management
Investigate any anomalies and resolve any queries timeously
Keep the Fixed Asset Register up to date, and posting of all amortisations and depreciations
Monthly Foreign Exchange runs to revalue foreign currency balances in the balances sheet
Assist in monthly management reports by providing commentary on income statements and balance sheets
Maintain weekly cashbook of all branches
Manage other’s expectations effectively and proactively communicate any potential problems
Check general ledger expense accounts to ensure expenses are correctly posted
Process petty cash transactions and manage petty cash reconciliations
Post all accruals and prepayments
Ad hoc duties as required
Assist in preparing annual financial audit files and assist with audit queries
Work effectively as a team
Effectively communicate important updates to required members of the team
Assist in the drafting of process notes and internal control procedures
Effectively communicate with managers and team members to ensure key deliverables are met timeously
Reconcile and match all balance sheet accounts
Process monthly journals and prepare month-end files and reconciliations
Import bank statements and reconcile bank accounts and bank suspense accounts weekly
Post interbranch billing, credit card expenses and relocations
Run weekly and monthly open item reports and follow up on long outstanding items
Ensure internal controls are operated effectively as needed, including suggesting process improvements

Skills & Experience:
Minimum 3-5 Years of Accounting experience
Great Excel skills
ERP system experience beneficial
Good communication skills
Able to manage, motivate and lead others
Great team player

Qualification:
BCom or equivalent Accounting or Finance degree
