Financial Accountant CA (SA)

SUMMARY:
Our client in Boksburg is looking to employ a Financial Accountant CA (SA) for their manufacturing operation. This position is open to all suitably qualified applicants.

POSITION INFO:

We are looking for a deadline-driven, energetic person with solid communication skills in English. Immediate start preferred. Must be resident around East Rand area.

This is an ideal opportunity to gain broad experience in a manufacturing company which is international. This position reports to the Managing Director of the company, and will hold overall financial responsibility for the division here in South Africa.

Main responsibilities:

Bank reconciliation.

Telegraphic transfers to Holding company.

Assist with TT’s to inter companies.

Salary Journal.

Monthly Operations Contract -  Clients in SA, Clients in CAF, Purchase orders, Invoice monthly, Ensure Correct allocation of Filters, follow up outstanding order numbers, Credit note authorization

Projects - Turnkey – ensure transactions are in advance invoicing and WIP account, notify of re-payments, Process and payment of Project related invoices, Journalize WIP and Adv. Invoices to IS.

Ensure monthly payments are done.

Audit allocations, authorization and amounts.

Loading of beneficiary accounts on banking system.

TB recons.

Assist with yearly budgets.

Ensure transactions are allocated according to budgets.

Assist with budget queries.

Balancing OD Control accounts - Stock, AP, AR, Bank, VAT.

Ensure statistical accounts are correct.

Opening and Control of COD accounts.

Follow up and sort out outstanding VAT payments.

RR invoicing (Internal-Intercompany invoicing).

Balancing of intercompany statements.

Monthly Matching.

CAF - Process cheques issued Process petty cash, Debtors allocation, Vat report and invoices in CAF.

Analysis of GL accounts.

Inspection and analysis of Debtors and Creditors Reports.

Ensure VAT is correctly allocated.

Assist with SA and CAF audits.

Completion of statistical forms.

Assist with general queries.

Monthly journals - Stock in, Stock out, VAT, Goods in transit.

Allocation of GL transactions against budget.

Internal audits.

Financial Control systems.

Assist with Month end, Quarter end and Year end reporting.

Export bank accounts into excel and analyze.

Allocations of sales and COGS against correct business unit.

Weekly posting.

Reporting of actual vs budget by business unit.

General Admin duties.

Minimum requirements

CA (SA) qualification – NOT NEGOTIABLE

2 – 3 years working experience in accounting outside of articles

Strong computer literacy

Strong English communication skills

Salary is R600 –----- CTC per annum negotiable on experience.
